I would like to start off by thanking you for visiting my website. My name is Ben Bansen, I was born and raised here in Oregon. I have been calling Southern Oregon my home for around 10 years now. I moved to Ashland to attend Southern Oregon University and Graduated with a degree in business management and economics. That was four years ago now and I'm still here and probably will be for awhile. Since being in Southern Oregon I have been able to spend a high percentage of my time in the Outdoors, whether it be fishing the local lakes and rivers, whitewater rafting, camping, rock climbing, golfing, or skiing. I would say I pretty much live outside. I believe that this part of the world offers a unique lifestyle that everyone should experience even if it is for just a couple of days while you are on a vacation.
I have been a commercial whitewater river guide for 5 years now and have guided on class one up to class five rivers. I am First-Aid / CPR certified and have a current Rescue 3 International Swift Water Rescue Certification as well. I am all about having a good time but safety always comes first. As far as fishing goes, I have been at it since I was just a little guy. I have learned a lot growing up going on family fishing trips and have had the opportunity to learn from some of the most experienced and successful river guides in Southern Oregon.
